Meghan Farkas, Head Coach: Meghan is new to Brandywine this year, but has been swimming for the past fourteen years, finishing last summer with the Mantua Marlins team. She was on the Woodson Swim Team throughout high school and was a captain with Nora Surbey. Meghan was also a part of the NCAP swimming organization for many years. She now attends Virginia Commonwealth University and is studying health sciences on a pre-occupational therapy track. She is looking forward to working with Nora and the other coaches as well as the kids and to make it the best experience possible for them. email@example.com
Lance Page, Assistant Coach: Lance has been a part of the Barracuda swim team for a number of years and has been a long-time (25+ years) swimming and lifeguard training instructor for MNCPPC (Maryland Parks and Rec) and (for the past 20 years) for Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA), and USA Swimming Coach for 8+ years.
Lance LOVES swimming and sees his work as a coach as his way of 'giving back to the community' as well as contributing to the generations of children that have learned to love the pool. He believes swimming is truly a life long sport/skill that the kids can use/benefit from for a lifetime. firstname.lastname@example.org
Holly To, Minis Coach: Holly To has been a part of Brandywine Pool for 7 years and was a junior coach for the last two years. Swimming is her passion and allows her to exert her competitive side while having fun doing so. She loves the thrill you get finishing each race whether good or bad. Her experience at Brandywine started when she was 11 years old and the Brandywine family allowed her to grow into who she is today. She is currently a freshman at George Mason University. email@example.com
William To, Junior Coach: William To is a varsity swimmer at West Springfield High School and a long-time Brandywine Barracuda. He was a junior coach last year for Brandywine and is looking forward to another coaching season. He has found that swimming has always been a way for him to relax and forget everything around him. Swimming has allowed him to not only stay fit, but to meet new friends and create new relationships with coaches. His sister, Holly, has generously passed on her tips and tricks to helping our swimmers become the best that they can possibly be. He looks forward to meeting the new upcoming swimmers to be and helping them achieve their goals with as much fun in between.
Cora Lundgren, Junior Coach: Cora is a rising senior at Woodson High School. She has been a member of the Brandywine Swim Club since 2011, and a member of the Shark Tank Racing Squad since the beginning of her junior year. Cora coached the Learn To Swim kids last summer and enjoys the memories and friendships she has made during the summer season. She is excited to make this season one to remember!
Heather McCall, Junior Coach: Heather is a rising senior at Woodson High School. She's been swimming at Brandywine for about 4 years and has been an enthusiastic and positive member of the team. For two years she has coached the Learn to Swim program and last year she helped organize the program. When she's not swimming, she plays ice hockey (yes, ice hockey!) and also plays the bass in school. She is looking forward to summer and spending time with friends and teammates at the pool.
